Baruch College Writing Center Logo
The Writing Center offers free, professional writing support to currently enrolled Baruch undergraduate and graduate students through our online platform. This semester, we're offering the following services:
  • 50-minute sessions—in-person or online: Discuss and revise your writing with a consultant
  • Written feedback: Get asynchronous comments on your draft by email
  • Writing workshops: Browse and sign up for 75-minute skill-focused workshops on our Events page
To schedule a session, enter your Baruch username and password (the same one you use for WiFi or printing) and click on any available appointment slot.
For new students, the default Baruch username and login is usually:
  • Baruch usernamefirstinitial.lastname (sometimes followed by a number if you have a common name)
  • Default passwordBirthYYMmmDD + Last 4 of Social Security Number (ex. 90Jan011234)
Your login is controlled by BCTC, not the Writing Center, so if you're having trouble logging in, visit Baruch's MyPassword portal for instructions on how to reset your account. We also discuss a few common login errors on our troubleshooting guide.

For questions or help setting up an appointment, contact us at (646) 312-4012 or or stop by Newman Vertical Campus (NVC) 8-185.
